Special Update: June 24, 2024

Tell us your vision for Six Lakes

We're hosting a series of visioning sessions to discuss how the use of the 102 acres of forested wetlands at Six Lakes would best serve southern Hamden and the wider community, once industrial pollution on the site is cleaned up. At these sessions, you'll learn a little bit about Six Lakes, see the premier of a five-minute video, "The Dream of Six Lakes Park," meet neighbors, do some hands-on mapping, and discuss in breakout sessions and a larger group a future vision for Six Lakes.

The results of these visioning sessions will be compiled in a report this fall for key decisionmakers at the local and state levels. Olin Corporation, the owner of the property, has indicated their interest in hearing what the community wants for Six Lakes.

Please join us at one of the following sessions:

Thursday, July 11, 6-8 p.m.

Keefe Community Center, 11 Pine St., Hamden

Saturday, July 13, 10 a.m.-noon

Thornton Wilder Auditorium, Miller Library, 2901 Dixwell Ave., Hamden

Thursday, July 18, 6-8 p.m.

Whitneyville Cultural Commons, 1253 Whitney Ave., Hamden
