Please join us this Thursday, June 29, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Keefe Community Center, 11 Pine Street, Hamden, for a community information meeting on Hamden's 102-acre Six Lakes property. The meeting is co-sponsored by the Six Lakes Park Coalition and the Town of Hamden.
The CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) will share information on contamination at Six Lakes and testing this summer by its owner, Olin Corporation, under DEEP's supervision. A Q&A session will follow.
We expect this to be the start of a larger process in which the community will be able to share its ideas, hopes, and concerns about Six Lakes, including end use, ownership, and management. All of these factors will influence the remediation plan that Olin will create and execute—again, under DEEP’s supervision.
To attend via Zoom, please register here.
